How do Sentry Power Delivery Devices for Apex Work
This devices integrates with your existing Neptune Apex through the use of wireless technology. They are configured through the setup of virtual outlets on your Apex and mapping those virtual outlets to the physical outlets on your Sentry Technology Power Delivery device
Do I need to purchase anything additional?
Our products assume you have an existing Neptune Apex unit as well as a wireless 2.4Ghz network. Nothing else is required other than to configure the units.
What happens if my internet goes down?
Whilst there are some restrictions on re-configuring and viewing device status while the Internet is down, Sentry devices have been designed to operate without an Internet connection and rely only on your local wireless network to communicate with your Apex.
Is wireless as good as wired?
For reliability – it’s hard to beat a physical connection between devices, though a well configured and stable wireless network is very reliable. There a number of other aspects to consider though. Mains powered devices require additional safety design to ensure safety. Wireless connections also provide more flexibility on installation location (no requirement to physically connect to the Apex).
